Kirsty has also worked with international athletes from the UK, Australia and New Zealand as well as Paralympic contenders from the UK as well as world champion Team GB kick boxing champion, Robbie Kennedy.

Futhering her training in physiotherapy, Kirsty is now a fully qualified veterinary physiotherapist , providing treatments to horses, dogs and other small animals.

Gina Brewis - Sports Therapist

After graduating from the University of Worcester in November 2014 with a 2:1 in BSc Sports Therapy, Gina moved back to Leeds and began working at KBH in April 2015. During her time at university she gained a wide variety of experience in both a clinic setting and within sports teams. Gina has worked with sports teams from amateur level- such as university BUCS teams competing in football, netball and rugby- and also at elite level with teams including Worcester Wolves Basketball, Feathstone Rovers RL and Leeds Rhinos.

Josh Stevenson-Sports Therapist

  

BSc Sport and Exercise Science, MSc Sports Therapy, Member of the Society of Sports Therapists.

Since graduating from Leeds university in 2012 Josh has spent the last 4 years transitioning from the gym setting to the therapy clinic. Josh thoroughly enjoyed his time as a Gym Instructor and is a keen sportsman himself, partaking in a wide range of sports including; rugby, american-football and bodybuilding. After numerous injuries, Josh has a wealth of experience on the clinic bed, he witnessed the benefits of sports massage and physiotherapy firsthand and was determined to be able to offer the same treatment to his clients.   

Josh is actively looking to keep his skills and knowledge up to date. He specializes in 'hands-on' treatments and prefers to use manual therapy techniques such as sports/ soft tissue massage and joint mobilization, but also uses electrotherapy and ultrasound where necessary. Josh will prescribe specific exercises to help correct and maintain posture, and to prevent further injury. 

Josh spends the rest of his time working alongside the Leeds Rhinos medical staff as a sports masseur.

Daniel Lee

Dan is a new member of the team who is passionate about helping people overcome injuries and physical issues that prevent them from achieving their sportingor day to day goals.He has a wealth of sporting experience and has a degree in Sports science and psychology which gives him the knowledge to understand the physical and psychological impacts of injury.

In addition to this Dan is a qualified personal trainer, working in both New Zealand and Australia for 5 years where he refined his knowledge of the importance of posture, mobility, flexibility, functional movement, stretching, rest and good diet.

Dan is a keen long distance runner and is acutely aware of the psychological impact of injuries and now as a qualified Sports massage therapist he wants to help as many people as he can to lead healthy, pain free lives.

Dan specialises in remedial massage, sports massage, soft tissue massage, deep friction, trigger point therapy, joint mobilisation and injury assessment and rehabilitation.

Daniel Claughton

Daniel is a newly graduated sports therapist who graduated with a 2:2 from Leeds Beckett University. Daniel gained a variety of experience during this period within clinical settings and as hands on experience in adapting treatment plans to both the general public and sporting individuals. He has also partaken in events such as the Yorkshire marathon and the great north run delivering post event massage to a great magnitude of runners within a limited time frame. During his time at university and through external and internal placements he gained knowledge and hands on experience with the following treatments:

•Assessment and diagnosis of injuries.

•Rehabilitation of a variety of injuries.

•Joint mobilisations.

•Sports Massage.

•Electrotherapy.

Nikhil Makwana

Bachelor in Physiotherapy, HCPC registration, currently studying MSc Sports Therapy.

Nikhil completed his undergraduate physio studies in 2013 working in hospitals in India, he continued his professional development attending courses on improving mobilization and taping techniques. In 2015 he moved to a clinical setting treating a variety of cases from general public to professional athletes. His desire to enhance his knowledge has brought him to the U.K. to complete his masters while working on placement with the Leeds rhinos on soft tissue. Nikhil specializes  in mobilizations and postural correction.
